The layout is inspired by the amazing archways scattered throughout the architecture in Seville.

Capturing Seville as it was in the 18th century is a tricky one!! (it always is for anywhere and anytime that isn’t Western Europe, save China) Seville was one of those places I’m familiar as a major port at the time, but funnily enough there aren’t many visual references (i.e paintings/illustrations) of it, and I am loathe to rely on photos because towns change a lot across 300 years.

I incorporated a lot on my experience in Spain recently to capture the atmosphere. I do miss that place, and I hope to return to it someday (and to go to Seville for real!).
