I AM GLAD SILLY SILHOUETTE HORSE IS GONE (for now) BECAUSE THAT MEANS I DON’T HAVE TO DRAW IT ANYMORE

In all seriousness, let us delve into the History of the Blackpool Trench

Mr. Brown is travelling along a strip of land, housing a dense forest which surrounds a very long trench. The trench is over 20 feet deep, and one side ends in a slope and another ends in a former quarry and a village called Blackpool.

The quarry is very dried up and is in the process of being a lake, but the water is not high enough yet to travel such a long distance. I think what they are doing now is waiting for the groundwater to rise up to its maximum level, then they will finish digging the thing to join it with the main river. (as of this part of the century)

Anyway for obvious reasons this is a favourite place for Nightcrawlers. If horses fall so easily into trenches, I imagine it would be like some kind of buffet. I can’t relate because I haven’t tried.
